After a day of catching up on sleep we decide to head Mandaue City near the ariport to watch the Super Bowl at the The Joker's Arms Pub, the only place in town which appears to be showing it. We get breakfast and watch the game, and Mike is thrilled with the outcome - the Giants beat the Patriots!
We then head to the Ayala Center, a nice outddoor mall on the way back to our hotel. We're shopping for shampoo in the basement supermarket when the 6.9 earthquake hits - we're definitetly not in the best place, but since people start panicking and heading for the stairs, we just stay put amongst the shampoos and creams all over the floor...
We then head out and find a nice massage parlour, the Spa at Cebu, and are advised to choose the "jet-lag" massage - we both get thoroughly pummeled for an hour and feel much better for it! Some Japanese clients checking in as we're about to leave mention a Tsunami warning which we're not aware of, and we find out that quite a few shops are closing due to the uncertainty.
I find somewhere still open to wax my legs and Mike has a haircut for P120 or $3 which he's very happy with :)
Back at our hotel we find out that the Tsunami warning was in force for about 3hrs following the quake, but we had no clue...
We're starting to get used to Cebu.
